Camp a Jungle Lodge that was established in 1990 on the edge of Kanha Tiger
Reserve (Village Mocha near Kisli Gate) in Madhya Pradesh. The camp is open
to naturalists, conservationists and those who wish to relax in idyllic surroundings.
It is also the home of TARA, the much-loved elephant who starred in Mark Shand's
best selling epic "My Travels on an Elephant". Kipling Camp is a simple
and comfortable Forest Lodge with an excellent cuisine and bar.
There
are also daily express trains from Delhi, Bombay, Madras & Calcutta to Jabalpur,
(a 4 hour, 160 km. drive) Nagpur, (a 7 hour, 260 km.drive) & Bilaspur, (a
6 hour, 240 km.drive).
